Adelaide machine large rings for Graham Engineering Ltd

Customer: Graham Engineering Ltd is a precision manufacturer of high quality components and supplier of finished goods to a broad range of industry sectors.
 
What was required: Graham Engineering needed to machine a large quantity of rings for the lids of a Sellafield Ltd waste container. They needed a large diameter vertical borer with the capacity to machine 1800 dia stainless steel rings.
 
Adelaide added value: The rings were machined on Adelaide 80" Webster Bennet vertical borer. A fixture was manufactured to hold the rings, which were very thin in wall section. Delivering on time was therefore crucial to keep the whole project running smoothly.
